Thanks to JGoren, alarns, and others that responded to my questions about selling CC against QCOM in my tax sheltered account. With the ASM, NOK, and litigation issues and my inability to judge the direction of near term volatility, I've elected to do some "play" trades for a month or two, and see how we do.

I did however contact my broker (SmithBarney) about fees. For July 42.50"s at a dollar, I was quoted $31 for one contract and $70 for five contracts. I've been with this guy for 30 years and have never felt his fees were justified. I call him maybe twice a year and have a less than 2min conversation to tell him to buy or sell something. I also have both taxable and IRA accounts with Etrade and am giving serious consideration to transferring everything to them.

Anyway thanks tor the examples -- I think I got it now
