Most subsidy programs are sold to the public as "startup costs that will go away once the product is sold in volume."

The problem is, the subsidy NEVER goes away. It's always a con. That's why I never believe any stats on these programs.

Too bad Bush has bitten into this nonsense. I guess he sees it asa a way to leave office with a plus. But it's a big negative.
