I think it is as important or more so that have people on the list who present the other side. The more voices we hear, the more stuff that is presented, the more clear and refined we can make our arguments and our positions. Just screaming the sky is falling, won't save anyone.

Jordanians 'planned to kill Bush'

news.bbc.co.uk

President Bush met Jordan's King Abdullah on his trip
Three men have gone on trial in Jordan, accused of plotting to assassinate US President George W Bush when he visited the country last November.
The three appeared in the state security court in the capital Amman. They did not enter a plea.

They were arrested on 28 November, the day before Mr Bush arrived in Jordan.

They also face charges of conspiracy to carry out terrorist acts. Prosecutors allege they plotted to bomb the United States and Danish embassies in Jordan.

If convicted they could face the death penalty.

Two of the men come from Zarqa, the hometown of the former leader of al-Qaeda in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who was killed last year.

All three reportedly embrace the extremist Takfiri ideology which regards non-militant Muslims as infidels, says the BBC's Dale Gavlak in Amman.

The men did not enter a plea to the charges because they had just been assigned a court-appointed lawyer.

The trial was adjourned and is set to resume next week.

NAIROBI: The Kenyan police have arrested a man they believe to be a key Al Qaeda suspect who tried to shoot down an Israeli airliner and helped plan the simultaneous bombing of a hotel in 2002 that killed 15 people, officials said.

The man's identity was not immediately confirmed, but investigators said they believe he is Saleh Ali Saleh Nabhan, a senior official in Kenya's security services told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the matter was classified.

Nabhan is wanted for questioning by the FBI and the Kenyan police for the 2002 attacks and the 1998 bombings of the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, which killed more than 200 people. Nabhan fled to Somalia after the attacks near Mombasa
