hank:

Great post. Thanks for the information.

BTW, I had a really good discussion at the PDAC convention with Cam Grundstrom, the new CUU operations manager. He has tremendous experience and is moving over from Ekati in April. An excellent addition to the team that will bring Schaft Creek into production -- and a demonstration of the seriousness of CUU to make that happen. From the recent PR...

<<Copper Fox Welcomes New Executive to the Team

Calgary, February 21, 2007 – Guillermo Salazar S, President and CEO of Copper Fox Metals Inc. (“Copper Fox” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Cam Grundstrom as Vice President – Operations and a member of the Copper Fox Executive Team. Cam is a Mining Engineer with extensive operations and development experience having held key management positions in large mining projects in Canada, USA, and overseas during his 26 year career. His experience includes assignments in world class underground and open pit mines, where he led teams in attaining production records while ensuring safe and efficient operations. He comes to Copper Fox from BHP Billiton Diamonds Inc. where he held the position of Mining Coordinator at the Ekati Diamond Mine. As Vice President – Operations with Copper Fox, Cam will have a major role in the development of the Company’s world class mineral deposit located at Schaft Creek, British Columbia, Canada.>>

One of the great things about the PDAC (as opposed to other investor shows) is that you get to talk to people of this calibre instead of the normal IR people. I think that the reason they put out the PR earlier this week ("Copper Fox Metals Inc. announces the imminent release of its update on the Geology Report and Resource Calculation of Schaft Creek") is that they'd hoped to have it available by the time of the show -- and they didn't want to disappoint by saying nothing! What that means is that it really should be imminent! And that's one of the reasons for the pop in the stock price. It will be interesting to see the size of the revised resource, given that it's already massive. It's amazing to me that a resource can have over 8 million oz of gold and this is only a credit!! :^)

CUU is one of my core holdings for the long term.

Best regards,
Howy

Would you mind letting me know the $ details of Copper Fox's acquisition of Schaft Creek from Teck ?

In the B.C. map I just posted, I presume Schaft Creek is somewhere south of Galore Creek, and it seems to indicate it is on the same mineral band as the penny I (and Teck) find interesting.

I'm just musing that the situation is like comparing two warrants. One of them (Schaft Creek) is like a warrant trading very close to its strike price or even in-the-money. The other is like an option that is way out-of-the-money..... but the profits, though perhaps remote, could be huge. Both might work up in similar fashion from their present positions !

Does anyone know of any other properties in this area that are optioned to Teck ?
