yes, I agree with you that alternative energy is a no-brainer for the real conservatives. However, why is it that only the Dems seem to be willing to champion real change, while the Republican party, of which I used to be a proud member, sit on their hands and only do symbolic things? I really just don't understand it. The only plausible explanation is that Cheney and Bush think nothing of putting their oil connections above the welfare of this country and their party.
