You think the defense industry is smaller? Again I said "a smaller part of our country", not "smaller". It is also smaller than it was in WWII, but its bigger in an absolute sense than it was during at least some of the post war period. A smaller percentage of the population works in the industry than decades ago. A smaller percentage of the countries money moves through the industry. Any way you want to measure it, its a smaller part of our country, whether or not it is smaller overall.
