That is a nice column, Pro. The writer seems to agree Annie was unusally abrasive and the term was unusually offensive, and the forum was inappropriate for such language, etc...but he made some good points.

I know you think I am some kind of liberal, but I consider myself more of a Goldwater conservative. As such, I don't think Ann Coulter's comments will help get republicans elected in 2008...which ought to be the number one goal of the party right now. That is why the bloggers like Hugh Hewitt, Michael Reagan and all three leading republican candidates moved as far away from Coulter as they could. She can say whatever she wants....we all love freedom of speech. But anyone who believes she really cares about conservative ideas isn't really looking at her too closely.

She won't be in the presidential box during the republican convention, you can bet on it! She's just a slightly better looking version of Michael Moore.
