The average rainfall of west central Florida is 53 inches a year, making it one of the rainiest regions in North America.

Now imagine Los Angeles, America's second largest city, where rainfall averages 13 inches per year and occurs only during the months from Oct to March.....if the region is lucky. Even here in Seattle, we only get about 33 inches per year and it rarely rains in the summer.
