These individual sound bites are inefficient. Lets just call it a War on Bad Things and/or Bad Persons

You make a good point. Bad isn't bad enough...Michael Jackson is Bad. President Bush gave us the right word[s] ... War on Evil Doers.

We do still have a problem. There's no one in charge of all the Evil Doers to wave the white flag and surrender. We can't win unless we identify the head of all Evil Doers and get him to resign. Satan maybe ... but then the atheists would have a problem. Unless we call atheists Evil Doers also.

P.S. Not sure whether Evil Doers should be hyphenated .... Evil-doers.

"We need a generic War."

How about just "our current war"? After all, our pols ALWAYS have us at war on something or someone. The fear motivation is just so necessary in America for them, if not us, it seems.
