E.T., it appears you do not know the dangerous part about socialism. It has nothing to do with the size of the government, but everything with how they run the nation. Socialism demands that the entire gross product of the nation be put in a central warehouse with the government in control, regardless of who, and how much, any citizen contributes to the warehouse. In dollars, the rich provide the most of that gross product, but any lazy, uneducated, bum, can withdraw the same amount from the pool as the major contributor does. When such a thing happens, it is human nature to think that since one can get what they want, or need, without working for it, and those that do provide the goodies begin to think that they are wasting their time feeding dead beats, and discontinue to provide wealth for those that have not earned it.

Every attempt to have a socialist nation has failed. those nations either fail completely, or become communistic, and history has shown us that communistic nations become dictatorships that are run by people like Stalin.
