What you posted makes sense particularly with displacing the genuine fear of the threat of terrorism post 9/11 by deflecting it onto the Bush Admin & somehow blaming them. That does remove fear from a real threat, while they continue to rail with genuine animosity & anger where they displaced that fear

Yes. It works also for the Israel/Pal conflict - it is certainly safer and more manageable to aim all your anger at Israel and believe that all they need to do is make reasonable concessions and do the deal, than to size up the situation and admit that the deal does not look doable in any way, shape or form because Hizbullah, Hamas, et al will never be satisfied with anything less than the destruction of Israel and the death or expulsion of every Jew from the Mideast.

I mean, it's not like Hizbullah or Hamas hide their intentions. Arafat at least, would say them only in Arabic, so somebody could in good faith point to his English statements as evidence of his suitability as a 'peace partner'. But look at the situation now - and it's still only Israel's fault.

here, you should llike this:

"Retired Army Maj. Gen. Paul Eaton, who was in charge of training the Iraqi military from 2003 to 2004.

“We are in the midst of recovering right now from a constitutional crisis where you had the executive trump the other branches of government,” Eaton said. “Thank god” Congress changed hands in November, he said, giving us “a chance to unsort and figure out how to get out from under this.”

Eaton lamented that so many service members believe that conservatives “are good for the military.” “That is rarely the case. And we have got to get a message through to every soldier, every family member, every friend of soldier,” that the Bush administration and its allies in Congress have “absolutely been the worst thing that’s happened to the United States Army and the United States Marine Corps.”
