the '87 scenario works.

market hasn't priced in risk

A 3.5% one day drop is not bad in and of itself but it is bad relevant to the tight range developed over the years. Damage was done. talking about "glitches" the day of the drop only reenforced my bearish outlook

If mr market continues up with a grind over time and repairs all the damage done and decreases volatility then i'll literally eat my shorts.

otherwise my money is on a predictable decline perhaps even a quick panic and then resuming upward course in a quarter or two...if not i'll deal with that sitch then...besides running around screaming the "sky is falling" ain't my style

FWIW i think your call on the yen equity link is spot on.
