Asked and answered... (except for the last portion of your post, 'why is everyone making a big deal about Newt's coming clean?' The answer to that would be: 1) Because campaigns for the Presidency always attract attention, and 2) hypocrisy in public figures also attracts humorous attention!)

Its obvious to me certain posters on this thread and the media are TERRIFIED of Rudy and Newt so they are trying to trash them even before the primaries are done. First consider this: Character, so far the only thing I see them harping on with Rudy and Newt is DIVORCE and the other woman. YET, statistics show that 50% of American first marriages end in Divorce and even a greater %age of second marraiges. So, does that mean AT LEAST 50% of Americans are without Character? Second, which is the one with least character, a person who has been divorced or a mean spirited person that would HIDE files in an investigation, FIRE a long time White House staff (the whole staff not one person) cause they didnt like their travel arrangements, who is RUMORED to be involved in murder/suicide etc etc etc.??? I hope the American public is SMARTER then the media and certain posters on this thread give them credit for. jdn
