Stunning isn't it that Americans have to even consider a threat to democracy and the republic. Stunning. I wonder how many people really know? I think maybe more than we appreciate. I am optimistic that more people are paying attention especially as Iraq never seems to get better, health care costs go ballistic and housing prices falter. There's nothing like a real, live pocketbook fiasco to make people take notice. IMO we are really far out of control. How in the world did it happen so quickly? It's pretty much beyond all reasoning.
