He's lonely when you leave the room and is scolding you for not taking him with or letting him know where you are going and when you'll be back. Our dog is the same way only not vocal. She would go into a sort of depression if we didn't let her know what we were/are up to. This last time we told her that we were going to be gone for a week, where we were going and why, and when we would return. She was much better this time in our absence and really seemed to be grateful that we filled her in. I bet Gizmo would be a much better bird if you communicated more.
