wow- didn't know that.

BTW today I was in SF and my car was broken into and purse stolen. I am *amazed* at the process of watching my credit cards get charged to hell and back, and the credit card companies and banks who provide services for all of this. Its a massive operation. I think anything that involves a form with a signature is going to be obsolete very soon. There needs to be a lot more elaborate controls on information. I know I am stating the obvious.

What is the Mortgage company going to do if they find out you lied about your income? Provided they didn't help you do it. Which some may well have done.

Will they try to get you thrown in jail so you have to default?

Will they call in your mortgage and take back your house which might be worth less than the mortgage amount?

Will they strap some extra fees on? Maybe causing you to default?

Will they look the other way as long as you make the payments?

I'd say they aren't in the drivers seat.
