uw, why post this guy? he is a hard-left nutcase, and his wording shows it: whatever the US is doing in Iraq, it isn't "colonizing" it as he keeps claiming, and a sociologist who respected the tools of his trade wouldn't claim we were.

Petras must be afraid that Petreaus might be able to do the job....I can certainly value your opinion about Petreaus, but I don't think I can when I see Petras writing many things, including these items...

I don't know, uw....this same man seems to think that the US wants empire, or "imperialists" armies....
