Political catalyst is of course always possible, and barely predictable. Terrorism, mostly, and the schemes of fanatics. We are unfortunately due for another bit of terror. On the other hand, the terrorists capable of planning and executing terror on a grand scale saw exactly how the US responded when attacked. I think this is a reason why they have not attempted more actions. Best to have the US populace bickering, as it is now, instead of riled up as it was immediately post 9/11. For the moment, the Force tells me the political risk is nil. For another brief moment, we have the opportunity to indulge in profitable confetti buying and selling.
