Global culture is still identified with core families, but that is misaligned in my opinion. Most of us older people think of a home in our own history that represents a way of life that we identify with, whether we are currently living it or not. Most of the up and comers have never had such an identity to relate their experience with.

The indicators are there. Human trafficking has risen to be the third major global crime statistic. Futurists are still making predictions as though the major influences on society will be national cultures clashing with each other, assuming you still have community identities within cultures. That is on the verge of collapse, or at least a major shift. IMO.
