AQ will never control Saudi oil.

I don't believe the House of Saud feels sure of that. AT ALL.

Did you see how shaken they looked at the spate of big AQ attacks in 2005?

The Saudis themselves have created a huge base of support for AQ by handing their education system over to Wahabbis for the last 35 years. Not to mention that they are corrupt and hypocritical themselves to the highest degree attainable by human beings, natural targets for any reform movement.

The only reason to give a hoot what AQ thinks is because if we can defuse some of their legitimate grievances, like Israel, that removes a reason for someone to join.

Their grievance isn't the US-Israel alliance, you know. It is the existence of Israel. Period.

And after you give them Israel, will you give them Spain, which they have also demanded?
