Did you really think that was the NYT telling Al Gore to "cool it"? It ends with this quote “On balance, he did quite well — a credible and entertaining job on a difficult subject,” Dr. Oppenheimer said. “For that, he deserves a lot of credit. If you rake him over the coals, you’re going to find people who disagree. But in terms of the big picture, he got it right.” It's an interesting article, but if you think your summation is accurate, I'd say you ought to read it again. This article is a summation of the criticism of Mr. Gore's position, by critics who themselves disagree. It's hardly telling Mr. Gore to cool it.
