>> My point was that as I expect Hector & Bob have already spoken to P/E Funds etc. before taking on ATI ( they obviously knew what the BS would look like after taking on ATI ) and my guess is that a deal has probably already been done.

It will turn out that you are totally wrong on that.

First, the dynamic duo did say what their expectations were for ATI when they first announced the deal. Accretive in first year, and then significantly accretive in second year. It turns out they are wrong. You get to choose between fools or liars.

>> I further went on to say that if say 200 mio. shares have "already" been sold ( but not yet signed, i.e. accumulated by 3rd. parties ready for the signiture-day P/E investment / handover of the 200 mio. shares ).

It will also turn out that you are totally wrong about this. This is just out and out speculation. If there was already a firm agreement, it would have to be disclosed within days. If it is not a firm agreement, then it is not an agreement of any kind.

by the way, half the proceeds from share float are covenanted to pay-off debt. So the increase in cash will be 1/2 the proceeds.

>> to all you AMD-bashers, I have been calling a "Sell" on AMD since 22$ !

Doesn't that make you one of them nefarious bashers, too ? So you want to be a basher from the point of view of preserving your capital, but emotionally you want to support the stock with comforting posts. Like I said, it is a wrenching emotional dilemma.
