An idea is only as good as the balance of the evidence supporting it. You're right in some people automatically assume that it's a stupid theory... Those are the people who don't take the time to research it for themselves. Most people don't have the time, or inclination to do the research. take that as a given. So the people who do the research have to be solid and above reproach. Al Gore is a definite loss to the cause. You cannot preach conservation to the little guy, and live high on the hog. I saw a statistic the other day that the forestry industry is the biggest problem. That may be, but whatever it is we need Canadian leadership that appears to be leading, by example, not by simply telling us to conserve while they don't.
