Doesn't seem to be a bubble, but then again, some
areas just went nuts. Some areas in FL went up 50% a year
before the bubble did burst there. All these 0 downpayment
teaser subprime loans have accelerated demand, and supply.
The goal (AG) was to bail out the stock market bubble. Well,
Houston, NOW I think we have a problem - the rates on teaser
loans made in 2004-2006 are shooting up, and folks with 0
down are bailing. The credit standards tightened due to
increased defaults, so no buyers either. I think this
market drop is a bit engineered, to get the rates back down
and help housing. The Fed is not printing yet, but once
they start, the market could recover, as it always did,
who knows.

Nothing like Japan, though. Wasn't it that the land under
the Imperial Palace in Tokyo was worth more then the state
of CA or something? -g-
