Gold chart still looks good long term.

Fundamentals remain sound. Too many fiat dollars, investment demand for gold picking up, mine supply down a little (e.g. recent announcements from SA and Oz.)

Short term, anything could happen. I agree with your core and trading strategy. Overall, I think it's more dangerous being out than in.

But again, anything could happen.

i think we lose a bit more than 5-6% Claude but time here is more important than price IMO. this will take a couple to 6 weeks

<<My best guess: gold holds $625>>

Phew! That's a relief. :^)

Me? I think that gold could turn around tomorrow, depending on what happens to the US dollar. The US$ Index is just above the neckline of a perfect 3-month H & S top. If it breaks below the neckline (i.e., below 83.50), the target would be about 81.50 within the next month or so.

Not sure if I know how to post charts correctly but let's see if this works... <g>

If the dollar drops to 81.50, gold will test it's 2006 high of $725 IMO -- but I doubt it will break through without a massive fight (to hold the dollar index above 80).

Either way I'm holding at least half my PF until 4-figure gold!

Best regards,
Howy

CC that was an excellent post! Thanks for your thoughts....I do keep a core and try to trade around the core position but the trading stock keeps becoming a part of the core position!

Might unload part of my bigger positions like ADM or ANO, however I can survive a 6% correction if I need too....and it is a question of nerves.....the likes of ADM or ANO will fly in the next bull so will play it buy ear. I am well in the money on both of these....
