The MIC is a bunch of Crack Whores. There is really no reason to go in to the private sector and risk your own capital when you can make more money going to work for the Federal or State govt or Military Industrial Complex and be a tape worm on society. 25 year old military kids with 600K mortgages, Hummers and all the fixins....It must be great working for the govt...What a perverted mess we have created. When the music stops are their going to be enough chairs???

re: As for Homeland Security and foreign aid, and Justice, those aren't military spending.

Homeland Security is the definition of defense spending. Hell, the military part should be called offense spending. On foreign aid there are arguments on both sides, on Justice it's certainly a stretch to call it defense spending... DOS much more likely.

And of course Veterans Affairs is certainly defense spending. And the interest on the debt from he military portion of spending is defense spending.

The defense budget is vastly understated.
