Ray -- Take a look at the decline in the Spring of 2000. By late Summer SPX retraced almost the entire decline - before breaking down again.

Check the decline from January to March of 2001. The consequent rally retraced about 80% - before the next leg down begun. All sorts of things can happen. Got to keep an open mind... Along the way, hopefully, we may get some (tradable) clues and setups.
