Where's MLK when we need him? I envision gangs of 500 smokers at a time marching on city hall, puffing away. The jails should be filled to overcapacity with protesting smokers, all noisily demanding a smoke break.

mph and thread, I would find this proposed ordinance more laudatory if the Belmont City Council also outlawed the use of barbecues, hibachis, fireplaces, incense, et al. If it does not see fit to do so, this proposed edict boils down to something very unsavory and punitive.

Were I a nonsmoker, my opinion would be the same. - Holly
