"Clinton being worse is NOT the point.....all of these US Attorneys serve at the pleasure of the President....you either get with the program....or you get out. Nothing wrong with that....certainly not illegal...."

Nobody has said what was done was illegal. But so far we have three (3) completely different stories on what happened. We have the Assistant Attorney General saying one thing (since rebutted by the Justice Department), we have the Attorney General admitting wrong and incomplete information was given in sworn testimony by his deputy the week before. Now we have the Attorney General admitting that the timelines and original source of the decision came from the White House, not from his department...and he is stil backing up. Who knows where he will land.

So Clumsy. Not illegal. Just so clumsy. And all of the interim appointments tied up in the loophole provided by the change allowed under the patriot act.

So clumsy...
