<< Oops....probably should have stated that I copied the press release directly from the Q website this morning. I was just lazy and didnt add the link. EDIT...press release is back up on their site. >>

Might have been pulld for a minor correction. It's still not on the Nortel site, but as issued on the QUALCOMM site now it's not showing as a joint release.

BSNL launches Unlimited Internet on CDMA 2000 1X

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited launches Unlimited Internet on CDMA 2000 1X

Government owned telecom company BSNL has announced that they are launching their unlimited internet offer through CDMA 2000 1X with monthly fixed charges of Rs. 250/-.

This service was earlier launched in the rural markets served by the company. Now they have introduced the same scheme in their urban markets.

The company added that the terms and conditions of the service are same in both the regions.

The service is based on the CDMA 2000 1X system and it provides following services:

Internet at a speed of 144 Kbps
SMS service to other GSM and CDMA networks and
UMS and VMS service
