Re. CSL.h... Interesting developments... I understand that the cease trading order was applied because the audited statements were not delivered on time -- but that is supposed to be resolved in the next couple of days. Meanwhile the PR below has appeared on Stockwatch. If the application for this grant is successful, it would light a fire under Cadre. Pity it's still halted!

Cheers,
Howy

Cadre arranges private placement, shares for debt

2007-03-15 15:10 ET - News Release

Mr. Stanley Sandner reports

Cadre Resources Ltd. is arranging a private placement in the amount of $150,000, to meet current obligations. The private placement consists of a non-brokered one share at five cents plus a one-year warrant at 10 cents. In addition, the company will be applying to settle $50,000 of debt by the issuance of one million shares as debt settlement. The private placement and debt settlement are subject to regulatory acceptance.

The company has also made a formal written proposal to a high-level Venezuelan government project financing agency for a $5-million (U.S.) non-repayable grant, including the provision of all permitting to complete its bankable feasibility study (BFS) and subsequent pilot production for the company's environmentally friendly Bajo Caroni river cleanup project. The government agency has also suggested it could provide the major capital financing to fully develop the company's Bajo Caroni project.

The initial stage of the project was completed in late 2005, following receipt of a permit to conduct a subbottom profile survey of the most downstream of the four hydroelectric reservoirs on the lower Caroni River. The site adjoins the industrial city of Puerto Ordaz.

The second stage of the BFS, now ready to proceed, proposes taking roughly 100 20-ton samples from the Macagua Lake reservoir to evaluate the feasibility to remove, process and market approximately 10 million tons per year of materials. Reserves of 160 million tons of removable material were precisely located, cubicated and proven by the subbottom survey within the 24-kilometre-by-four-kilometre reservoir. The BFS will include an environmental impact assessment (EIA) and a socio-economic review.

The proposal also provides for the establishment of a smaller-scale pilot plant operation to produce roughly two million tons per year in the first instance. The measured and estimated reserves in the additional three reservoirs exceed 500 million tons of removable material. The pilot operation will provide the working parameters for the larger-scale fully developed project operations.

The company expects to receive a favourable formal response to its proposal in the near future.

We seek Safe Harbor.

I have struggled with all the facets of meaning of the printed word since I began to post on the internet. I try to imagine the people behind these typed phrases, straining to see the way in which they utter them. In fact few of them type fast enough to write as they speak, so it is hopeless to try to figure the man from the words. There is no way to put emphasis of vernacular upon the lines, so the meaning oft goes astray. So much of what we say is dependent on the physical way we say it. But there are 1000 ways to speak a line, and 999 ways to misinterpret it. You cannot hear the bite of sarcasm in a written word, or snort, or laugh. It's so important. Still less we see the snide comment, or the rhetorical mock as-if. Too often the meaning is taken as if didactically given in the lowest, meanest way, such that is should most hurt our hearts. We give in to our worst imaginings of the way we think others see us.

When I meet the people who post it is often a big surprise. (I will bet few people can imagine I am tall, dark, utterly handsome, well dressed, rich and drive a late model Arnege, smoking herbs from a cigarette holder with a trophy blonde on each arm. Dines got nuttin' on me.)

I think I have koan figured out. He is an expert at kidding people. He has given that he is middle aged, a stock trader, and well off. I think he is probably 16 years old, probably sinosian, and failing grade 10. No shame in that, but he has taken us all in. A hoot sans doot.
