Talking about investment banks. Man- they are ka-chinging the register on this subprime meltdown. They made money in bringing them public, made money loaning them money, made money in underwriting their bonds, made money on the mergers & acquisitions, made money in selling the bundled mortgages, and now are making money in siphoning off their assets and reselling them- not to mention their trading departments simultaneously shorting the hell out of them- as the other hand lends them money- with the remaining liquid assets as collateral- at pennies on the dollar. siliconinvestor.com Isn't confetti wonderful?
