"is the USA in a "civil war"? we kill many more of our own every day." Such a tired argument. I guess we are in a civil war with Cancer and Heart Disease. They kill more too. But if you say: "would they have been killed BUT FOR the intentional actions of the combatents, then you get closer to a question that can actually mean something. And, no, we don't intentioanally kill more of our own every day (and we are ten times bigger in population)...If one group of a population plans insurrection to achieve political gain, and openly struggles against the governing body, then..you have a civil war. The Defense Department now says it looks like a civil war. I guess you won't come to that logical conclusion until GWB finally, finally tells the faithful they can see the obvious. I suppose you still feel the President's Iraq strategy is a resounding success? Joint the line other there, with the other four guys.
