That's a very interesting point. What I wonder is how such people would reconcile a belief that homosexuality is the equivalent of a birth defect with their belief that it is a sin, which is based on their reading of the Bible.

But I doubt that very many of these kinds of Christians would ever accept scientific evidence that homosexuality is genetic. They don't accept scientific evidence that the world is more than 6,000 years old or that dinosaurs and man never coexisted, so why should they accept this?
