Why must the US have a military budget greater than the rest of the world combined?

One does not have to be a pacifist to see the utter folly, waste, and needless wars this triggers

For you all will be well once Bush and Cheney are gone.

I could not disagree more.

The ouster of Bush and Cheney is only the first step in a struggle to re-orient US priorities away from plutocracy, Zionism, and empire building towards helping average folks and minding our own business internationally.

Right. Those poor Israelis had to settle the West Bank & fence in Gaza, and wall in the rest, and build roads, and cut down orchards, and shoot stone throwers, and bulldoze thousands, and clusterbomb Lebanon, and whenever even a little flicker of peace shows, invade towns & go house to house.
You certainly don't show any American spirit. You're a programmed panderer to Israel.
