I would bet $1000 GW Bush did coke in those days. I was around those same type kids in that era, though I am younger than GW. I once went to a party at the Buckley townhouse in NYC (James Buckley, top GOP figure) and there was coke and meth lined up on all the glass tables. It was the only time I ever tried meth. It was a crazy party. There were also Kennedy kids there just to show you I'm bi-partisan. And GW Bush would have fit right in. That was absolutely his crowd.

I went to college in the early 1970's and grad school in the laste '70's and never did cocaine. Ditto my wife. So it wasn't universal. (But then we weren't in Cliff's social world)

I do remember a lot of hippies from those days and weed was widely available but I (and my wife) never used it either. There was a period in my high school years when I would have been willing to smoke dope but it only lasted about 4 hours and there wasn't any around right then.

Squares. There are a lot more of us than people think.
