They also could be intentionally vague so as not to osborne existing AM2 socket sales. I must admit I'm in the I will believe when I see it camp too but I'm not ruling it out like you. This quad-core has a very balanced 3-level cache structure that will tell in many server apps. Tulsa also has a similar balanced 3-level cache structure and that excels in server benches. By balance I mean adequate unshared cache of each processor in the multi-core i.e. the combined L1&L2. It also has had enhancements specifically aimed at server applications as well as the very publicised floating point.
