One of my more brilliant students wrote a play that received some success. It was presented on PBS for example. It's title I do not remember except it had to deal with a dilemma for a family by the name of Gold...

Jonathan Tolins was my student who I suspected at the time he was my student was gay. He went to Harvard... was an unusually talented and beautiful young man.

Essentially the story was about a gay young man accepted by his family and loved whose sister was pregnant. The dilemma was over whether the baby should be tested for this gay gene so that the sister would know whether to abort...

The brother was overwhelmed by disappointment that the family although accepting of him would consider such a move.

His psychological predicament made the essence of the play as he tried to show his sister and husband what it was like to be gay.... and it was not all that bad. Of course he brought in all the famous persons who had been gay and contributed to the knowledge and art of the world. And as Ellen said at the Acadamey Awards what would film be without Jews,Blacks and Gays.... (:)
