Yes very good explanation of the MACD oscillator.

I still use it alot, however on many of my charts for the last year I've been experimenting with the PPO oscillator, basically the same as the MACD except expressed as a percent. That way you can directly compare the momentum change, PPO of different stocks based on the same 0-100 percent scale.

I like MACD a lot, but I mostly use it on weekly charts for longer term positions. I like to watch for MACD crossups on higher volume, if going long. I have posted a couple of examples of these here before. Here is one I am watching now.
