Recent news articles have indicated the Bush administration is looking to downsize forces in Iraq after this latest seek and destroy campaign (they're even talking to Syria and Iran),...the Democrats are making reduction and withdrawal of forces in Iraq a central plank in their campaigns are they not? All your polls indicate U.S. citizens have little support for continued presence in Iraq. In order for Republicans to be re elected in the looming presidential campaign, they will have to accept their electorates wishes.

Britain is already downsizing their Iraq forces.
