<However, i say , not so, not for humankind>

But eternal war exists only when the war is not totally devastating, but rather tolerable. Such is the current situation, and the rachet could be cranked up a bit and still be less of a concern than who the next American idol might be.

As the true believers fight and die for their cause, those remaining are presumably "less believing". Furthermore, if the true believers die young with no progeny to mourn them, no thirst for revenge transcends generations. All this gives hope that the waste of the current war will eventually end, not when Bush is gone, but when the people are sophisticated enough to react with reason rather than emotion. We certainly are not there yet, and perhaps 4 mores years of war are needed to rid us of our thirst, but I believe (for I am also a true beliver) that the war will end; we will lose; and things will be worse than they are now for America (sorry to say).
