Plame was 100% covert clandestine operative, you boob. The CIA never would have called for a special prosecutor and Fitzgerald never would have bothered with the case if she hadn't been not only covert, but very-very important. She was reportedly a key source of intel on iranian WMD, justen we need that intel very badly. Cheney knew this but had her outed and destroyed anyway because to Cheney the lie that got us into Iraq was much more important than the CIA. He was probably dreaming of those 10 billion in no-bid Halliburton contracts and new oil deals for pals Exxon and Chevron.
