So perhaps my original remarks were inaccurate.
It appears that Canadian Walmart employees can eventually get knee replacements but US Walmart employees will rarely ever get one.

The advantage of state-sponsored health care (as in Canada) is that all citizens get some care, whereas in the US if you don't have money or good insurance you don't get any. Of course this last remark is also untrue, because the poor can seek free minimal care at emergency rooms at any US hospital, courtesy of those of us who pay.
