I believe the endgame turns out to be a class-based pecking order: people increasingly mix with one another according to their respective class status --or, more crudely, their net worth-- regardless of their hues...

What's to stop the wealthy from marrying people less wealthy than them for other considerations - appearance, kindness, compatibility?

Unfortunately for the wealthy, wealth is generally transient -- it can be lost, stolen, gambled away or legislated away -- and then the cycle has to begin all over again. Possibly because of the impermanence of wealth, the idea of being one of the Chosen People is appealing -- it offers status and privilege in perpetuity, or so the Chosen Ones believe -- that's why they've kept the illusion going for so long and have been prepared to endure hatred, persecution and hardship along the way. Indeed, the hatred, persecution and hardship substantiates the illusion and gives it veracity -- even today.

Legislation is changing that. Large corporations will have to comply with a "sliding scale" of Black Economic Empowerment which will see SAn business becoming at least 50% black owned in the next 10-15 years.

More whites going to leave

"And because the crime figures are not going to decline rapidly and affirmative action is to continue, more whites are going to leave.
