only steam clam guy or oysters rockerfeller , i drove down to baltimore one day years ago to get the most famous crab cake in the east. it was in the middle of a market small counter area , written up in baltimore mag. i was not impressed so went back to making my own. still haven't had a crab cake , commercial without a lot of filler. i prefer lots of blue crab meat and less filler.

I used to be able to buy oysters for $35 A BUSHEL. I and couple of my friends would sit around chucking them and drinking cold beer as we swallowed them. I used to eat 3 dozen or more at a time. Those were the days. No more, the bay became contaminated and no longer can one safely eat raw oysters here. jdn
