According to the AP story ( news.yahoo.com ) she said "she wasn’t a lawyer and didn’t know what her legal status was.."

She wants to get the idea across she was covert within the meaning of the law because she's a partisan Democrat who wants to attack the administration first and foremost, but she did say what I indicated.

Armitage has admitted publicly he told Woodward that Plame worked for the CIA on WMD issues. He said it was common knowledge because Wilson was calling people all over Washington and telling them. Woodward confirmed that. And Novak testified early on that Armitage was his source. Therefore Armitage definietely and probably Wilson would be indictable IF the disclosure was a crime. Fitzgerald's failure to indict either Armitage or Wilson shows he knows there was no underlying crime.

He got Libby on perjury charges irrelevant to the issue of whether there was an underlying crime.
