Qualcomm has confirmed that Nokia will still be licensed for its "early patents" after April '08. Nokia lists them, but there is also a quote from Altman (page 13).

I've listened to every QUALCOMM and Nokia webcast that has addressed the subject. Listened to Altman, Lupin, and Keitel, as well as Rick Simonson, Tero Ojanperä, and other Nokians.

How come you aren't aware of the paid up licenses?
