Silver Dragon discovers new Ag – Pb – Zn mineralization underground in the Guadalupe Ramp

Source: Press Release

metalsplace.com

Silver Dragon Resources Inc. (OTCBB:SDRG) reported Monday that its wholly owned subsidiary, Silver Dragon Mining de Mexico, S.A. de C.V., is continuing advance of the Guadalupe Ramp to access the mineralized bodies discovered by drilling during 2006 in the Puro Corazon area.

To date, 300 linear meters of the old Guadalupe Ramp have been rehabilitated and widened to 3.5 X 4 meters to provide access for underground drilling, mining and ore-hauling equipment. Forty-five meters of new advance, beyond the rehabilitated portion of the existing Ramp, were completed by the end of February and advance of the Ramp is continuing on schedule.

Driving of the new advance of the Ramp has encountered previously unknown Ag, Pb, Zn, Cu mineralization consisting of both oxide and sulfide horizons.

These bodies are newly discovered extensions of the deposits previously mined in the El Gringo mine. Mapping and sampling of the new discoveries is in progress.

The discovery of the new mineralized structures in the area has revealed the existence of substantial additional, unexploited mineralization near the El Gringo shaft which has no surface manifestations.

We anticipate that we will develop substantial additional blocks of mineralized material in the El Gringo area in the coming months.

Metallurgical testing of both oxide and sulfide mineralization at Cerro Las Minitas has begun. Testing is being done by SGS Minerals Services, a division of SGS Group, the world's leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company. Testing is being done at SGS's new Durango, Mexico minerals testing facility. Results of testing will characterize ore types at Cerro Las Minitas and specify milling options for the most effective recovery of metals from mineralized material.

Drilling completed in 2006 revealed the existence of several mineralised bodies in the Puro Corazon area and allowed the identification of potential for more than 750,000 tons of mineralized material in those bodies.

In early March 2007, Silver Dragon began its second surface drilling program to further explore mineralization discovered in 2006 and explore additional prospective areas identified by geologic, geochemical and geophysical data. Our goal is to define additional mineralized material in the Puro Corazon, El Gringo and La Bocona areas during the next three months. Seven thousand (7000) meters of both surface and underground core drilling are planned for 2007.
