Well I am sure Gay people will find that little thought comforting.... Gay people get a few rights and the next thing you know Genetics means that they will be well and truly screwed up by the time they reach 18.

That's the danger of insisting that homosexuality is genetic, not behavioral. Inevitably someone like this will note that if it is genetic, then we can "fix it". Then you're in a box.
