I have held and made money on both FNI and BMC. BMC had a history of rising on quarterly results (when drill results were also released) and then falling back and languishing again. I got out around $1 and change and watched as it kept right on humming. FNI had a bad Q4, (imo from reports of having to abandon one stope due to sloughing walls.) Q1 should be good as they are into higher grade development ore in lower levels. My plan was to dump FNI and buy back right after poor Q4 results were announced. So far it looks like I made a mistake there also, and they may drag out results until a good announcement from Premier Ridge is ready. In the meantime I bot FNX, cashed out on announcement of good Q4 results and discovery of Levack Deep deposit. Converted to FNX calls hoping for a take-over by Teck or Hudbay. Increase in price of nickel made calls profitable but may have caused Teck to back off. Also own LIM calls and RNG wts. I am trying to out-gunsling Koan! but it is a risky move and not for the faint of heart. I was lucky and have cashed in enough calls to have only freebies left. If there is a move on FNX, I would expect FNI to fly. Other jr I am looking at is NI. Based mainly on the quality of management. And if you want an example of what good management can do, look at BLE.
